Park het Engelse Werk Zwolle

Southwest of the city you will find Park het Engelse Werk Zwolle. This walking park, constructed around 1828, is located in the hamlet of Spoolde. Because of its status as a former fortification, it is now a national monument. Park the English Work Zwolle alternates with forests, a water catchment area and a floodplain of the IJssel. For bird spotters, a viewing hut has been built on this floodplain. After an intensive walk or bike ride through the park, you can relax at Uitspanning het Engelse Werk. Here you can enjoy a nice lunch or a drink, overlooking the river IJssel.
